it has been a while my friends...and i am well.
the month of october has been pleasantly booked with weekends of friends and family. alot of travel, but well worth the time. i haven't been entirely avoiding oklahoma...but maybe just a bit. these weekends filled with familiar faces have been a fuel for me to continue on my own. and as a reassurance to you (and to myself), there are things and people in my life here in oklahoma that i truly enjoy. and i am not referring to the swords and knives shop. (which p.s. i found another one when sara and adam were visiting. what is with this town?!)
1. my job. i really like my job. i am the coordinator for the tutoring services on campus. i actually enjoy it because it means organizing and it means working with people a lot. i get to know the tutors that work for me...and some of the students that frequent the office. it's always fun to be around students. i also enjoy the gal i share an office with. her name is stephanie...which is also awesome. and i work for the mayor's wife...so it's fun to be on a first name basis with mayor and his family. i like being a part of something again. and i get to make up my own hours.
2. my classes. i'm sure this isn't surprising but i really like school. i like learning because i love the feeling of accomplishing something i didn't think i could. the program here is really good and i will always be glad that i did it. i already feel more comfortable for the hospitals next semester.
3. the colvin center. this is the rec at okstate. i just really like it.
that actually might be it. but i think it's enough.
i've enjoying spending time with those of you i have gotten to seen this past month. may it happen again in december:)
